I recently picked up a cook book with lots of good rustic dishes that I really like. One of the ideas in the book is 'toast' and it isn't sliced white bread with jelly on it. This toast falls somewhere between pizza and bruschetta and would be served as an appetizer on our menu. Nice long cuts of country bread chard on the wood grill topped with sauces, vegetables, cheeses and ganishes. Rustic yet refined!

Our version the other night with a curry spread, grilled eggplant, feta and frisee.
